This collection is dedicated to Marco Simoncelli – the Italian rider with his trademark curly hair, unmistakable style and number 58, which fans still wear today.

Super Sic

Simoncelli, nicknamed Super Sic, won the 2008 250cc world title with Gilera – sealing it with third place at Sepang, despite failing to finish the first two races of the season. From 2010 he rode in MotoGP for the Gresini team on a Honda. He died on 23 October 2011 after a crash at the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang, aged 24. The Misano circuit has carried his name ever since, and MotoGP retired number 58.
